Become a Clinical Dietitian Assistant at American Senior Communities

This position will float between Jasper and Oakland City, IN

Are you passionate about nutrition and ready to make a difference in the lives of seniors? Join American Senior Communities as a Clinical Dietitian Assistant and play a key role in supporting individualized nutrition care across two south central communities.

In this role, you'll work closely with a Registered Dietitian and assist in gathering information, support care planning, collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, and contribute to quality nutrition services for residents — all while gaining valuable experience in a rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities of a Registered Dietitian Assistant include:

  • Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian to support residents' nutrition goals
  • Complete required nutrition documentation to support care planning
  • Work cooperatively with interdisciplinary teams to support individualized care
  • Conduct meal observations and interview staff/residents to ensure meals meet dietary needs in type, amount, consistency, and frequency
  • Assist with documentation and follow-up related to residents' nutrition services
  • Help promote high-quality, resident-centered nutrition care

Qualifications:

  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Diet Technician (DTR), or BS in Nutrition or other health related degree/actively pursuing a health related degree
  • Preferred: Experience with nutrition documentation
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Interest in working in long-term care or clinical nutrition
