Calibration Technician (Finance)
Calibration Technician M1 Location
Perform repetitive and routine work that will support Quality and Continuous Improvement within the Metform locations. Inspections, checks, tests and sample procedures on units, materials or products at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and continued improvement.

Position Type: Full-time
Pay Range: $18.00 to $22.00 plus a $2.00 shift differential per hour depending on experience for night shift
- $20.40 to $24.93 plus a $2.00 shift differential per hour depending on experience for weekend warrior night shift
- Work Location: M1
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate calibration of a variety of instruments and devices according to detailed drawings, technical specifications, and established procedures.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and correct measurement errors or discrepancies to ensure precision and reliability in instrument readings.
- Accurately compile, record, and maintain calibration data and test results for each instrument, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Follow all quality, safety, environmental, and operational policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S practices (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
- Collaborate with team members to identify areas for process improvements and contribute to the efficient operation of the calibration department.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Skills/Competencies
- Basic to intermediate understanding of calibration processes, measurement systems, and instrumentation.
- Strong focus on accuracy and precision in measurements, data recording, and documentation.
- Ability to identify issues with equipment or processes and take corrective actions.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Ability to apply basic mathematical skills for calibration calculations and measurements.
- Comfortable working with hands-on tasks, including adjusting instruments and assembling/disassembling parts.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and work instructions.
Qualifications
Required
- Education: High School
- Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience in calibration, maintenance, or a related technical field, or a combination of education and experience.
- Ability to perform basic calibration work under direct supervision, with the opportunity to take on more complex tasks as experience is gained.
