Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description:

Responsible for the maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment Buildings and Grounds and systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company. Responsible for Completion and planning of Capitol projects with assistance of Plant Management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACTIVITIES:

  • Oversees Capital equipment/building/grounds projects

Supervises plant maintenance team members to achieve expected results Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs. Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary. Determines Critical spare parts inventories. Maintains and repairs maintenance shop equipment, buildings and grounds. Establishes and maintains a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment. Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems Monitors operation of plant equipment and systems. Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement Coordinates activities with Plant Operations Departments. Communicates directly with the operations departments to coordinate maintenance and repair work. Supports and participates in Morgan Olson's PPS team efforts with focus on 5S and TPM. Adheres to Quality Policy by exceeding customer expectations, being customer focused and supporting continuous improvement activities. Adheres to Safety Policies and practices behavioral based safety 100% of the time

Works with outside suppliers to achieve best possible pricing and develop multiple sources within there areas of expertise to drive competitive pricing.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associates degree from two-year college in a related technical field or certificate or diploma from

trade school preferred with five years experience in the maintenance and/or operation of a

process manufacturing facility or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with repairs and maintenance of processing equipment. expertise and proficiency with basic
  • Office computer software, e.g., word processing, email, and spreadsheets.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively with Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • (CMMS) and instruct others on its operation
  • Excellent people skills
