Community Education Specialist (Full Time, North Carolina Based) (Personal Services)
The Community Education Specialist (CES) is responsible for advancing a System of Care approach through the identification of training needs, the development of member-focused curricula, and the coordination of education for members and stakeholders. This role ensures the delivery of timely and meaningful information designed to engage, educate, and inspire change among public and private organizations that serve Alliance members and recipients with health needs and high-risk populations.
Educational initiatives are intended to improve access to care, promote prevention, advance health-directed care, and support community-based and system-wide approaches, processes, and programs. The CES collaborates closely with the Community Health and Well-Being team to implement curricula that address gaps and emerging needs. By focusing on system-level solutions, this position strengthens collaboration, increases access to essential services, and identifies trends that inform continuous improvement.
This position will allow the successful candidate to work fully remote from their home office or hybrid from the Alliance office assigned, if preferred. The candidate must be a North Carolina resident and able to travel in the Alliance catchment area.

Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience
Required:
Bachelor's degree in public health, health education, or related human services from an appropriately accredited institution with at least three (3) years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
Master's degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and two (2) years of experience.
OR
Medical degree, with experience working in medical environments, community health, or healthcare systems.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Employment for this position is contingent upon a satisfactory background and MVR (Motor Vehicle Registration) check, which will be performed after acceptance of an offer of employment and prior to the employee's start date.
Salary Range
$28.96 - $36.92 Hourly
Exact compensation will be determined based on the candidate's education, experience, external market data and consideration of internal equity
