LUMBER CYCLE COUNTER (Finance)



OBJECTIVES:
Count all lumber-related products on a four-week cycle. Collect and process cut sheets. Correct discrepancies as reported on the “Negative Quantities” report.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collect cut sheets from yard and surrounding areas
• PIP inventory changes shown on cut sheets
• Keep cut sheets and RPI for two months, stored in date order
• Display each item shown on “Negative Quantities” report
• PIP inventory changes as needed to bring items still negative back to zero.
• If anything is unclear, count all items necessary to ensure the changes being made are correct
• Keep cut sheets and RPI for two months, stored in date order
• Count all lumber-related product on a four-six week cycle, as established by the count schedule
• Research committed quantities in the system to ensure accurate counts
• Discuss all significant discrepancies with Lumber Buyer to ensure accuracy before making changes.
• PIP inventory changes for each count sheet and print RPI to report changes.
• Post all RPI results on master spreadsheet.
• Check with Lumber Buyer one hour prior to leaving each day to see if there is anything specific in need of counting

DUTIES TO BE DONE AS NEEDED:
• Provide backup for lumber receiving
• Help with forklift
• Stock Store when needed
• Help warehouse when needed

• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and accept direction on given assignments
• Able to work in a cooperative manner as part of a team
• Maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public
• Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health/safety and company policies and procedures
• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Operate a variety of standard office machines: computer and computer software, including Microsoft Office, phone, fax, shredding, and copy machines

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Sit/stand for 8 hours per day
• Use hands and fingers to manipulate keys on a keyboard
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision
• The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles
• Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs. occasionally; must be able to push/pull 50 lbs.
• Horizontal reaching with arms and hands is required; occasionally must climb or balance
• All mobility motions are required (standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing)
• Range of motion and physical activity occurring randomly throughout work day
