Identity Information Protection Analyst - Evernorth Health Services (Finance)



This position offers a motivated, eager-to-learn individual the opportunity to gain broad exposure to various technologies and access control processes within a large technology-driven organization. The Access Management Provisioning Team is responsible for granting Cigna employees and external partners access to the corporate network, systems, and applications. Team members in this role will handle access requests in a distributed (Windows) environment, ensuring timely resolution in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). They will also play a key role in maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Track all access changes and ID/group modifications through ticketing systems.
  • Monitor team ticket queues regularly, prioritizing and processing tickets based on urgency and submission date.
  • Ensure all processed tickets meet approval and audit requirements.
  • Investigate recurring access issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Handle a wide range of access requests and issues, while continuously expanding knowledge of interconnected systems and their impact on access.
  • Collaborate with Security and Audit teams to address identified access violations.
  • Support access reviews and user permission audits in partnership with IT and Governance teams.
  • Create and manage user IDs and groups in native environments, including Active Directory.
  • Maintain and update security documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base articles.
  • Recommend and implement service improvements to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Foster strong collaboration within the team and across departments to support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Assist in evaluating AI tools to enhance efficiency and automation opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or higher strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Security Operations (ID Administration) or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with key operating systems and security platforms, including:
    • Windows Active Directory
    • MVS/OS390
    • iSeries/AS400
    • Unix/Linux
    • RACF
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, SOX, and PCI, and their impact on security practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex technical problems.
  • Solid understanding of IT security principles and industry best practices.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong customer service orientation.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 32 - 48 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
