Quality Assurance Manager (Project Management)



*Location:  Lathrop, CA 

Job Summary:

Visit customer locations as a representative of Kloeckner Metals Corporation to assist in day-to-day management of customer concerns ranging from quality, design, and packaging.

 

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Be the “boots on the ground” at customer sites and communicate back to manufacturing any issues that are a challenge to the customer
  • Collaborate with the customer to resolve quality concerns for sheet metal and tubular fabrication products
  • Assist in root cause analysis and development of corrective actions
  • Support new business development in Design for Manufacturing reviews with the customer to ensure manufacturing feasibility
  • Work with the customer in review of dimensional reports for product acceptance and understanding what is required for manufacturability
  • Process customer claims
  • Ability to organize dimensional and cosmetic analysis at customer sites to specific tolerances

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in metal service center industry with focus in sheet metal and tubular fabrication
  • Bachelor's Degree in technical field or equivalent
  • Foundation in Geometric Dimensional & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Be able to work within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computer literacy in Microsoft Office products

Compensation

$85,000 - $95,000
