Assistant Professor - Adolescent Medicine (Finance)



The Department of Pediatrics Division of Adolescent Medicine at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine is seeking an Assistant/Associate/Professor rank (non-tenure). The Adolescent Medicine MD will provide outpatient services at various USF Health clinics.

The identified candidate will also participate in the teaching of residents, and medical students in clinical medicine is an essential function of this position. To perform this position, the candidate will need to obtain and maintain a FL medical license, maintain credentials in the USF Health faculty practice plan, and be a medical staff member in good standing at the hospitals he/she is assigned to perform clinical duties.   • Medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.

  • Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
  • \n
  • For Associate/Full Professor - Normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in refereed and other professional journals, and be a recognized authority in the field of specialization.

  • Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Adolescent Medicine.

  • Teaching duties may include but not limited to facilitating one to two undergraduate medical education courses. Participates in teaching programs for our pediatric residents.
  • \n
  • Participates on extramurally funded research projects or clinical contracts in the department.
  • \n
  • Minimum of 6 clinical half days at start of the assignment. May be adjusted based on funded academic duties. Clinic locations include but not limited to TGH Healthpark, USF / Curran, and 17 Davis. Additional clinical time for night and weekend call both activated and non-activated is assigned per the Gen Peds call schedule.
