Sr Advanced Project Engineer (Finance)



As a Sr Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in driving innovation, shaping the company's technical strategy, and mentoring future leaders. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, industry experts, and stakeholders to solve complex challenges and advance the company's mission.

You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Aguadilla, Puerto Rico location. New employees are required to work on-site full-time for their first 90 days after which they may transition to a hybrid schedule.

In this role, you will impact the development and execution of advanced projects within the Aerospace sector, ensuring that innovative solutions are delivered efficiently and effectively to meet customer needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership in project execution and management
  • Support Phoenix program managers on program management activities as needed
  • Monitor earned-value metrics and lead program/project baseline activities
  • Work with buyers to place POs, supplier engagement, hardware tracking & shipment, and payment to vendors
  • Work with contracts on establishing new programs, contract modifications, including SAP updates
  • Ensure that material spend and labor forecasting in SAP are accurate
  • Coordinate with Document & Data Management Services with on monthly reports and program close-out
  • Support driving innovation and identifying emerging trends and technologies within the aerospace sector
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to solve complex engineering challenges

Travel within US and/ or internationally may be required - 10%
