Master Scheduler (Finance)



Position Summary: The Master Scheduler plays a critical role in managing the production schedule, optimizing manufacturing capacity, and analyzing supply chain data to ensure timely delivery of electrical connectors, cable assemblies, and related components across 3 North American manufacturing sites (Endicott, NY; Mesa, AZ; Nogales, MX). This position coordinates with procurement, production, engineering, and sales to balance customer demand with manufacturing capabilities and inventory objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) with the site Supply Chain Team and Plant/OPS Manager to support customer demand, inventory targets, and manufacturing capacity Convert sales forecasts, customer orders, and historical trends into executable production plans Coordinate production priorities with manufacturing and purchasing teams Monitor schedule adherence and work with stakeholders to address issues such as material shortages, labor constraints, or machine availability Collaborate with engineering and production on new product introductions and changes to product configurations Analyze manufacturing capacity and recommend adjustments to labor, equipment, or overtime to meet schedule demands Create what-if scenarios and simulations to assess the impact of demand changes, disruptions, or new opportunities Maintain capacity scenarios per main product line with plant leadership to support business decisions Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule adherence, on-time delivery, and inventory turns Perform root cause analysis for schedule misses or delivery delays and drive corrective actions Develop and distribute production and supply chain reports to management Manage and continuously improve scheduling processes and tools (e.g., ERP/MRP systems) Identify and implement process improvements to enhance planning accuracy and operational efficiency Support digital transformation and data analytics initiatives within operations and supply chain Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment for electrical or electromechanical components APICS/CPIM certification is a strong plus Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (Macola Experience preferred) Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools; knowledge of Power BI or similar tools is a plus Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, lead times, and capacity planning Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work across multiple departments Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Data-driven decision maker
