Sr Receiving & Stock Room Operator (Finance)



POSITION SUMMARY

WAREHOUSE LEAD- STARTING SALARY UP TO $28 PER HOUR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

The Warehouse Lead manages the daily priorities of the warehouse areas that include receiving, timely product data entry into SAP and other systems and inventory management and organization. The Warehouse Lead works with various stakeholders in the organization to continually improve processes and reduce inventory costs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for inventory management and accuracy of all warehouse parts and corresponding transactions.
  • As a lead, directs the daily activities of other warehouse personnel.
  • Works with management and cross functional teams to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Works closely with the purchasing team to ensure optimum inventory levels and timely arrival of raw materials.
  • Unloads materials from trucks using a forklift or pallet jack.
  • Receives parts and supplies into inventory by utilizing SAP and/or other computer software.
  • Issues parts to the production floor.
  • Ensures inventory of all part numbers by performing accurate transactions and cycle counting.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains organization of warehouse and surrounding areas.
  • Works with purchasing and/or others to resolve supply issues and inventory discrepancies.
  • Delivers restocking supplies to departments as needed.
  • Observes safety precautions, rules, and regulations.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 5+ years of previous warehouse and inventory management experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Experience with forklifts and other material handling equipment required.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Prior experience with SAP and warehouse management systems strongly preferred.
  • Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, & planning skills.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts.

  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.

PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Working conditions are comparable to a traditional manufacturing environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment may be high in certain areas of the plant.
