Production Floor Supervisor (Finance)
We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring product readiness, and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to foster a productive team culture.
COMPENSATION
The starting annual salary for this position is $77,000
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Attends production meetings with management and holds pre-production meetings with staff.
• Operate forklifts and assist with material movement as needed.
• Supervisor will be on the floor 80% of the time with 20% dedicated to office-related duties.
• Manage employee schedules, time-off requests, and overtime to maintain production coverage.
• Collaborate with the Shop Manager to ensure products are consistently ready for shipment and troubleshoot and daily production issues.
• Build and lead a strong production team that meets daily quotas and maintains high performance.
• Familiarity with EHS to support the EHS Manager with daily safety inspections, ensuring OSHA compliance and addressing any safety concerns.
• Identify and coordinate the repair of broken machinery, keeping equipment up to code and operational.
• Issue disciplinary action when necessary in accordance with company policies.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Overtime is mandatory as needed.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
• Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
• High School Diploma/ GED
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferred, not required)
• 4+ years proven experience in a supervisory role within a production or manufacturing environment.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Basic degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing production needs.
• Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and coordinate machinery repairs.
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see.
• Regularly/Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly/Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold & heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually low/moderate.
