Hvac Technical Manager (Finance)

Do you have excellent communication and relationship building skills? If so, we'd like you to join our dedicated team as an HVAC Technical Manager.

About the Role:

You will:

  • Manage recruit, hire, develop, and train a team of HVAC Technical Specialists.
  • Set clear performance expectations and goals for teammates and conduct regular performance evaluations to assess progress and provide feedback.
  • Develop and implement tech support processes to ensure HVAC Technical Specialists investigate, analyze, and diagnose issues in a timely and effective manner, while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Effectively act as a liaison between key HVAC vendors and Hajoca leadership to identify and address opportunities and challenges to support profitable, effective business growth.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive product support training, updates, and inventory assistance to Profit Centers.
  • Develop strategies to support sales efforts through technical training, coaching, evaluation, inventory recommendations, and product support.
  • Establish regional technical training curriculum for Hajoca teammates and contractors. Develop and execute a comprehensive technical training strategy for all new HVAC product introductions.
  • Effectively manage customer contacts and relationships as to provide excellent customer service, build support and sales, and constantly increase overall customer satisfaction.
  • Develop close support alignment with each Profit Center Manager and HVAC sales staff member to ensure open communication and assistance.

  • Maintain a current working knowledge of all HVAC technical issues by reviewing all technical bulletins and attending industry-related technical training functions and professional events.
  • Safeguard and maintain all Company assets - business planning and strategy, customer information and confidential manufacturer information.

  • Conduct all business in accordance with Company policy and procedures.
  • Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.

  • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

About You:

  • 5+ years of technical experience in HVAC systems
  • 1+ year of leadership experience
  • Valid driver's license

  • Be able to diagnose and analyze HVAC equipment, installation and application according to the manufacturer's installation documentation.
  • Have a proven knowledge of the design and implementation of effective sales techniques as well as strong personal sales skills.
  • Effectively use Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) to communicate via email, to maintain appointment and customer contact files, and to analyze performance data.
  • Demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication, and generous listening skills.
  • Be organized, a self-starter, and detail oriented.

  • Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Be able to learn and operate the computer related systems used to create and submit quotation packages and create orders.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
