JOB LOCATION:Wellmark YMCA
SCHEDULE: Part Time Position (15-20 hours a week) - Flexible but variable hours
PAY RANGE: $16.00-$19.00/hour
CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: October 19, 2025; Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is a key part of the leadership team and is responsible for creating and delivering systems that support a positive, member-focused culture. This is carried out through role modeling, establishing expectations, communicating and making decisions that are consistent with this culture. This position is also responsible for planning, management and supervision of staff and budget for Healthy Living programs, which may include our Wellness floor, Group Exercise, and Adult Sports.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Create a work environment that exemplifies the Ys culture and how we show up and supports ownership and accountability for staff members.Serve as a key role model and connection point for relationship building, general information, and customer service.Promote member engagement by encouraging involvement in related Y programs and small communities.Provide leadership, management and direction to staff.Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff team members to ensure satisfactory job performance.Conduct regular trainings and staff meetings to support open communication and ongoing staff development and ensure access to development opportunities.Manage assigned program areas and activities, ensuring programs comply with all applicable operation standards; evaluate and review programs to ensure quality and safety.Conduct marketing and promotion for healthy living programs, coordinating with association office staff to ensure all marketing meets association and brand requirements.Manage planned budget and information for Healthy Living programs to ensure revenue and expenses are consistent with approved budget plan.Know emergency procedures and be able to demonstrate them to others.Attend department, branch and association staff meetings as required.Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or designated staff person.Demonstrate and support the objectives of the Association as embodied in the mission statement and values.
