WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Buyer/Planner II

The Buyer/Planner II is responsible for coordinating and managing all purchasing, inventory, demand planning, and operational activities, ensuring customer service levels and financial targets meet strategic objectives.

This position leverages best practices, technologies, cross-functional internal and external collaborations to maintain and improve data analysis, processes, and communications in a sustainable and scalable manner.

This is a full-time, hybrid position at our Sandy Office, located at 17014 NE Sandy Blvd. Portland, OR 97230.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Demand Planning. Prepare and maintain all aspects of forecasts. 

  • Supply/Purchase Order Management. Manage purchase orders from creation to close including expediting, discrepancy resolution, changes, active monitoring and reporting of performance. 

  • Supplier Management. Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent supply, optimal pricing, and performance. 

  • Inventory Management. Collaborate with internal and external teams in addition to utilizing tools and technology to maintain appropriate inventory levels per organizational targets. 

  • Continuous Improvement. Proactively identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies while ensuring quality and service standards are met. Ensure compliance and accurate documentation is maintained including procedures, processes, and work instructions. 

  • Collaboration. Maintain strong collaborative working relationships with internal and external teams utilizing all forms of written, verbal, and meeting formats while ensuring proactive sharing of information and metrics. These teams include suppliers, customers, category management, account payable, catalog, regulatory compliance, pharmacy catalog, product support, operations, and inventory/receiving teams at multiple warehouses.

  • Data Analysis, Reporting, & Data Management. Develop and maintain system data and reporting on KPIs and metrics, providing context on drivers of change/performance.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting/finance, operations/supply chain or equivalent job-related experience.

  • 2+ years of purchasing experience.

  • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office products, Google Suite, and ERP systems (Oracle Fusion Cloud, SAP, etc.).

  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to drive results at a high level, performing independently and in a team with minimal instruction or direction.

  • Effective verbal and written communication of information in a clear, calm, and concise manner, tailored to various audiences.

  • Experience working with and ability to calculate operational and financial metrics (year-over-year performance, inventory turn, days/weeks of supply, etc.).

  • Experience in a task management system (monday.com, Jira, Asana, Todoist) preferred.

  • Experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain Planning Module preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • If this is a hybrid role, reliable internet access is required (1-2 days a week in the office).

  • Environment where dogs are present if in the office.

  • Sitting/standing at a desk working on a computer for long periods of time.

  • Occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.

  • Occasionally stooping, lifting and/or bending.

Pay range (US based applicants): $64,786 - $75,000 (annualized)

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, certifications, relevant education and training, while also considering internal equity.
