BSA Coordinator (Finance)



This position is responsible for BSA duties distributed to the division as well as the Corporate BSA Team (CBSTAT). Interacts and cooperates with CBSTAT in the performance of all functions necessary to maintain compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti Money Laundering, Combating Financing of Terrorism, and OFAC requirements. This employee can office in Longview, TX or Mt Pleasant, TX.  

Job Functions: 

  • Serve as main BSA point of contact for the division.
  • CIP, Beneficial Ownership, Due Diligence Monitoring (ADD, CDD), W-8 Exceptions Correction and Follow-up
  • CTRs 1st Review
  • CTR Exemption Renewals and Requests – as applicable
  • Monetary Instrument and Wire Reviews – as applicable
  • Assistance with forms, timely reviews, customer communications, follow-up, and account closures for ATM, MSB, and other High-Risk Customers 
  • Foreign Customer Account Opening Oversight
  • Sanctions Screening Oversight
  • Unusual Activity Monitoring
  • Training – Targeted trainings for business lines, and as required by CBSAT requests. Maintain own BSA trainings/certifications.
  • Risk Assessment input upon request
  • Audit/Exam documentation requests as applicable
  • Record Retention - as applicable
  • Special projects as assigned.

Job Skills/Qualifications

  • High school diploma required. Some college level coursework preferred; college degree not required.
  • Two to five years similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions. BSA experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act/Anti Money Laundering/U.S. Patriot Act, OFAC Regulations as well as bank lending and operations related regulatory requirements preferred.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills with the ability to work independently, as well as, collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong decision making, analytical and investigative abilities with attention to detail and accuracy. Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving and obtaining information, as well as advising or referring, which commonly require shorter discussions.
  • Proficient with computer skills including, but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with BSA/AML software preferred (e.g. BAM+, Verafin)
  • Ability to be flexible to a quickly changing environment.

Experience

Required
  • 2 - 5 years: Two to five years similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.

Education

Required
  • High School or better
