JOB LOCATION:Supportive Housing Campus
HOURS/DAYS SCHEDULE: 20 hours a week; Need to be available Tuesdays 12 PM to 8 PM, Wednesdays 12 PM to 6 PM, Fridays 9 AM to 2 PM and one Saturday a month.
HOURLY RANGE:$16.00-$19.00/hour
CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: June 9, 2025; Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. This individual will be responsible for facilitating and leading resident, volunteer, and donor involvement and relationship building and providing a deeper connection to the mission and cause of the YMCA of Greater Des Moines as it relates to the YMCA Supportive Housing Campus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Create, plan, manage and deliver program opportunities for assigned area(s). Develop and implement a plan for mission advancement, manage the budget for the assigned program area(s). Develop and implement promotion plan of opportunities for assigned program area(s), including develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations. Recruit, retain, direct the works of, and recognize volunteers. Develop and implement evaluation plan to determine impact of program opportunities. Know emergency procedures and be able to demonstrate them to others. Respond to questions and concerns of program participants. Demonstrate an ability to participate in kitchen and food related opportunities. Exercise sound judgment in situations not covered by policies, procedures, and practices. Report specific problems or needs to supervisor or designated staff person. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or designated staff person.Demonstrate and support the objectives of the Association as embodied in the mission statement and values.
