Job Description

This is an in-office position based out of Ent Credit Union Headquarters in Colorado Springs. This is not a remote eligible position.

The purpose of the Post-Closing Specialist is to ensure timely and accurate quality reviews of closing documentation for all mortgage loan products, coordinating with all appropriate parties to verify errors are properly resolved before shipping and delivering loans to investors. They will also ensure the loan is compliant with regulatory and Credit Union policies. The Post-Closing Specialist will serve as the liaison between the members, mortgage lending staff, and third parties to the mortgage transaction once the loan has closed. They will also be responsible to utilize all available resources to remain proficient and knowledgeable with Mortgage Lending products, procedures, and regulations.

Essential Functions

  • Audit closing packages for accuracy to include verifying signatures, notaries, dates, and completeness. Scan documents to virtual file, secure original collateral documents and complete/submit application for VA LGC or FHA MIC.
  • Prepare CHFA loan files for sale following procedure set by investor to include using their websites to transfer documents, etc. Resolve any deficiencies on investor report from initial sale of loan. Ensure all information on purchase advice is accurate. Email ACCTG after purchase is complete. Transfer loan file to investor within systems and complete file.
  • Address any post-closing conditions to include correcting documents, following up with members, other mortgage teams, vendors, receipt & securing of recorded documents, and title policies.
  • Research and maintain an updated knowledge of progressing loan program guidelines. Understand and meet all regulatory guidelines to guarantee loan compliance.
  • Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Ent policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Qualifications

Minimum Formal Qualifications for this Position

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent.
  • 2+ years combined experience in customer service, financial services, real estate, accounting, or finance-related field to include: Required
  • 6+ months experience with first mortgage servicing, processing, closing, or other related experience. Required

Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
  • Applied knowledge of 1st mortgage products.
  • Applied knowledge of Mortgage Lending business terminology and process flow.
  • Practical knowledge of investor and lending regulations.
  • Propensity to analyze post-closing documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Propensity to analyze and problem solve to create positive outcomes for all interested parties.
  • Talent to prioritize/manage files and allocate resources.
  • Organized, detail oriented, flexible, and able to multi- task in an ever-changing environment.
  • Display positive, professional demeanor and work independently with little supervision.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Initiative to meet and/or exceed job standards and willingness to take on other tasks that support the goals of the Credit Union.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Information

The pay range for this position is: $22.62 to $25.75 per Hour (S12)

Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications, and internal pay equity.

This position is eligible for a monthly incentive plan.
