Medical Director, Perioperative Services - Anesthesia (Finance)



Work Schedule:
This position is .4 FTE physician leadership responsibility plus clinical practice time in anesthesia. Hours will be scheduled Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

We are seeking a Medical Director, Perioperative Services -Anesthesia to:

  • Lead anesthesia into the future to enhance remarkable care for patients in perioperative services.
  • Support the team with a medically directed care model that fosters a collaborative environment while ensuring high quality care to patients.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop a best-practice and patient-centered model.
  • Oversee business planning and operational activities.
  • Along with relevant stakeholders, identify and review marketing trends, clinical best practices, and develop future plans for initiatives for UW Health.

Education:
  • M.D. or D.O Required
  • MMM/MHA/MBA or equivalent Preferred

Work Experience:
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience as a practicing physician. Experience leading staff and oversight of multiple clinical functions. Required
  • Administrative experience running a perioperative program in a large academic medical center or large private hospital setting. Demonstrated experience in Operating Room management. Preferred

Certifications:
  • Board certified with active medical license Required
