Job Title: Powerfame Die Maintenance Technician - direct hire!

Pay: $32.68

Shift: 1st Shift 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Monday - Friday!

Training: Must be able to train on day shift for the first few weeks.

What you will do:

Under general supervision and in conformance with plant policies and procedures, perform hands-on maintenance to inspect, repair, maintain and inventory dies for high-speed stamping in a leaded environment. Assist other maintenance technicians as necessary to maintain production to meet customer needs.

How you will do it:

· Read and interpret complicated drawings and work to extremely close tolerances using precision tool room equipment and measuring characteristics of steels and other common metals and their heat treating processes

· Inspect, diagnose, clean and correct die deficiencies

· Notify appropriate departments when dies need to be sent out for repair work.

· Inventory dies and keep track of die status with vendors. Communicate information to production

· Make periodic checks of machines and equipment and perform preventive maintenance as required.

· Troubleshoot and repair general mechanical components and equipment.

· Collaborate with external and in-house tooling department in the repair and servicing of dies

· Work well under pressure to repair equipment quickly

· Read and understand electrical, equipment manuals, pneumatic schematics as well as mechanical drawings

· Working with High Performance teams for continuous improvements

· Keep work areas clean and orderly following 5S procedures

· Strictly adhere to all plant safety rules

· Take active part in group meetings to maintain safety, quality, and increase productivity and morale

· Respond to afterhours maintenance calls and come in as needed on an “on call” basis

Qualifications

· High School Diploma or GED required

· Must have at least 2 years previous experience (or educational equivalent) with die maintenance and repair

· Two year technical degree, or related certificate program, preferred

· Strong working knowledge of machine shop tools including micrometer, veneer calipers, dial and depth indicator micrometers, and hand tools

· Must have a learner mentality – willing to increase scope and knowledge of the position

· Strong team player

· Excellent verbal communication skills

· Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing, leaded environment requiring PPE to include respirators
