Experienced Elevated Steel Tank Foreman (Construction)



Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.
• Assembles members of organization at start of project.
• Orders procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules.
• Confers with and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
• Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.
• Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises three to seven team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; Calculates employee work time, employee over-time, and attendance records; supervises quality and quantity of work performed; administers employee evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems or seeks managerial advice as necessary to resolve problem.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); must have a minimum of one year if related experience and/or training.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Other Skills: Must be able to pass 610, 7018, Carbon Steel & Stainless Steel MIG in the 2G, 3G and 4G positions. Must be knowledgeable of the Safety and Loss Control programs of Caldwell Tanks.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Must be able to climb to heights of 200 feet with no rest platform.
