2 pm - 10 pm

AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Forklift Driver on 2nd. Shift to be located in West Plains, MO. This position drives a diesel-powered industrial truck equipped with a forklift, elevating platform, or a trailer hitch to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials.
JOB DUTIES:
- Move levers and press pedals to drive truck and control movement of the lifting apparatus.
- Position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials. Hook tow trucks to trailer hitch and transport load to designated area.
- Load, unload, and stack lumber on inspection slips, the stacker, kilns, and trucks by raising and lowering lifting device while accurately sorting lumber by species, grade, length, and age.
- Supply flooring mill, inspection slip, or stacker with the correct lumber and record accordance with production schedules.
- Assist with daily and monthly lumber inventory procedures.
- Load or unload material onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
- Perform routine inspections, checking tires for leaks, cracks, fill fuel tank, and complete daily checklist on required forklift components.
- Perform any other duties assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Follow Job Safety Analysis guidelines to assure safe operations.
- Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Lift drivers must possess the ability to cross-train in all the kiln attendant duties.
- Must obtain and maintain an OSHA approved forklift certification.
PHYSCIAL DEMANDS:
- Occasionally push, pull, carry, and lift 5 - 50lbs.
- Occasionally walking, standing, stretching, bending, stooping, climbing, crawling, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, grasping, frequently sit, and repetitive movements.
- Regularly talk, hear, read, write.
- Continually must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
- Continually work near moving mechanical parts.
- Continually must be able to work in moderate noise, up to 83 decibels.
- Regularly exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, and airborne particles.
- Continual specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
