Laundry Worker - Riverside (Finance)
The Riverside County Probation Department is seeking to fill a Laundry Worker position for the Alan M. Crogan Youth Treatment and Education Center (AMC YTEC) located in Riverside. Incumbents of this classification will collect, transport, sort, and count laundry; and will also be required to stand for long periods of time, and to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
The Probation Department seeks a Laundry Worker with experience operating industrial washers and dryers; experience making minor sewing repairs to clothing and/or linen items; and experience utilizing a computer with the ability to access and reply to emails, complete online trainings, as well as other computer-related tasks as needed.
Work ScheduleThe incumbent in this position will be assigned to the following work schedule and will be required to work holidays: Thursday - Monday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

• Transports laundry between various laundry operations; may operate washers, extractors, conditioners, flatwork ironers, and pressers; sorts and counts finished laundry and delivers to appropriate storage areas.
• Keeps laundry machinery and area clean by dusting, sweeping, mopping, and wiping.
• Will be required to make minor repairs to clothing or linen items. Ability to: Read and write English at a level required for successful job performance; follow oral and written directions; learn machine operations, procedures, and techniques of laundry work; keep simple records.
