Laundry Worker - Riverside (Finance)
The Probation Department seeks a Laundry Worker with experience operating industrial washers and dryers; experience making minor sewing repairs to clothing and/or linen items; and experience utilizing a computer with the ability to access and reply to emails, complete online trainings, as well as other computer-related tasks as needed.
Work ScheduleThe incumbent in this position will be assigned to the following work schedule and will be required to work holidays: Thursday - Monday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

We recognize the value of a qualified, professional, dynamic, and diverse workforce and in building an organization that reflects the progressive community we serve.• Collects or receives bags of soiled laundry from hospital patient or institutional units and transports to laundry; sorts laundry according to type to insure proper load level for washing machines and records poundage.
• Transports laundry between various laundry operations; may operate washers, extractors, conditioners, flatwork ironers, and pressers; sorts and counts finished laundry and delivers to appropriate storage areas.
• Keeps laundry machinery and area clean by dusting, sweeping, mopping, and wiping.
• Will be required to make minor repairs to clothing or linen items. Ability to: Read and write English at a level required for successful job performance; follow oral and written directions; learn machine operations, procedures, and techniques of laundry work; keep simple records.
Other Requirements
Physical Requirements:The incumbent will be required to stand for long periods of time and to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Contact Information
