Power System Engineer (Finance)



Schneider Electric Engineering Services, LLC seeks a Power System Engineer in Boston, MA.

Job Description: Act as a domain expert for power topics in various segments and offers including power system studies, electrical distribution design, Protection Control & Automation, equipment assessments, and power quality. Develop relationships with key customers and work to become their trusted advisor to facilitate a partnership and drive incremental business. Demonstrate safety leadership and act as an effective instructor and mentor. Advise and support business development managers and project developers by lending technical expertise when needed and ensuring the customer is aware and comfortable with the capabilities of SE Consulting. Perform project management functions, ensuring that work is completed according to schedule, budget and customer expectations. Be the technical advisor to both internal and external customers, meeting with them to evaluate issues and goals and working to ensure that the offer presented solves their issues and goals. Develop engineering services proposals. Develop solutions for complex power system engineering problems. Serve as EiRC for the State(s) where PE licensure is held. Position eligible for 100% remote work, reporting to company headquarters in Boston, MA. 30% domestic travel required within the Western US for jobsite walks to support sales, installation and commissioning, and customer meetings.

Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering or related field and post-bachelor's progressive experience (5 years with Bachelor's or 2 years with Master's) in lead electrical engineering, or related occupation, which must include at least some experience with the following skills: Power system design and simulation proficiency (SKM); Designing control panel layouts, creating wiring drawings, and designing power distribution and I/O schematics; Developing one-line, plan drawings, cable schedules and schematics; Reading and interpreting power system, construction, and installation drawings; Developing Bill of Materials and project documentation; Modeling and setting phase and ground overcurrent relays; and Producing programmable relays files.
