Outdoor Public Area Attendant - Groundskeeper (Finance)



Job Description Summary

The Outdoor Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of all exterior guest areas throughout the resort. This includes pool decks, walkways, entrances, public restrooms, and outdoor fixtures. The role is highly guest-facing and essential to upholding the resort's standards of luxury, cleanliness, and safety.

Job Description

  • Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
    Pool Areas (Adult & Family Pools):
    • Conduct regular walkthroughs of pool decks throughout the day.
    • Remove used towels, trash, and abandoned items.
    • Reset and reposition chairs, loungers, and tables to maintain a neat layout.
    • Wipe down pool furniture, gates, and railings as needed.
    • Empty trash bins and replace liners.
    • Restock towel stations or coordinate with Recreation for supplies.
    Outdoor Public Restrooms:
    • Inspect restrooms near pool and beach areas multiple times per shift.
    • Clean and disinfect sinks, counters, toilets, mirrors, and floors.
    • Replenish supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap).
    • Remove trash and maintain a clean, guest-ready appearance.
    Walkways, Entrances & Outdoor Common Areas:
    • Sweep walkways, steps, and high-traffic areas.
    • Pick up debris, trash, and litter.
    • Power wash areas as needed, especially after inclement weather.
    • Maintain cleanliness of resort entrances, beach access points, and drop-off zones.
    Glass Surfaces & Fixtures:
    • Spot-clean fingerprints and smudges from exterior windows, sliding doors, and pool gates.
    • Check and clean resort signage and outdoor light fixtures.

    Additional Responsibilities:
    • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to the appropriate department.
    • Assist with setup and breakdown of outdoor resort events as needed.
    • Perform duties independently and with a strong sense of pride and ownership.
    • Provide courteous, helpful interactions with guests, answering questions or referring them to the appropriate team.
