EPIC Principal Trainer (Finance)



Join Vancouver Clinic's dynamic team to develop and implement training programs focused on Epic applications. This role centers on instructional design, curriculum development, and training environment build work, with a strong emphasis on collaboration across departments. This position requires in-person, on-site training capability.

Essential Functions:

  • Design and deliver effective training programs for diverse audiences including clinicians, leadership, and front-line staff.
  • Conduct training needs assessments and develop solutions to address performance gaps.
  • Align training strategies with organizational goals and manage cross-functional training projects.
  • Create role-based instructional materials using tools like Microsoft Office.
  • Build and maintain the MST training environment and support troubleshooting efforts.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, managers, and technical trainers to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
  • Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions and provide site support as needed.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and continuously improve content based on feedback and workflow analysis.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Teams and other online communication methods.
  • Proficiency with Epic applications preferred.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both in written and oral form required.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to teach and train, and enhance software usage skills within a deadline.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or Adult Learning preferred. Will consider equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of professional training development and delivery experience in a corporate training environment.
  • Experience/Certification in Epic EMR Application(s) strongly preferred. If not certified, must obtain certification within 6 months of employment.
  • Experience with online training through tools such as Teams required.
  • Experience in software support required.
  • Experience using Nuance/Dragon voice recognition software preferred.
  • Experience in providing training programs to users in a healthcare setting strongly desired.
  • Experience with a Learning Management System strongly preferred.

Pay Range:
$68,470.00 - $102,707.00

We offer a competitive Total Rewards Program. Eligibility for benefits is dependent on factors such as position type and FTE. We also offer a 401k retirement plan, with employer contributions after your first year of employment. Benefits-eligible employees accrue PTO and Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked, totaling 120 hours in the first year for full time staff and 200 hours in the first year for full time supervisors and above, increasing in subsequent years. PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
