Project Manager, Chambers (Finance)

Job Summary:

The Anechoic Chamber Operations Team designs and builds cutting edge structures that house advanced antenna and radome measurement systems. Our team is responsible for the full lifecycle of chamber engineering and construction - including concept development, building systems design, structural analysis, documentation and comprehensive testing - to ensure a safe, reliable and high-performance operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to develop anechoic chamber designs.
  • Lead efforts in project costing, scheduling, design, structural analysis, and preparation of engineering documentation.
  • Apply technical expertise in building design, structural analysis, and building systems (electrical, HVAC, fire protection, communications).
  • Serve as the primary engineering lead for structural and building systems within each project.
  • Integrate and coordinate efforts across a matrix organization, working closely with internal teams and external MEP partners and general contractors.
  • Manage and mentor a team of approximately four engineers and technicians responsible for building chamber systems at customer sites worldwide.
  • Support and optimize designs for constructability, considering permitting requirements and construction processes.
  • Demonstrate leadership potential and take initiative in driving project success.
  • Solve complex engineering challenges with a hands-on approach and strong organizational skills.
  • Communicate regularly with key customers, delivering technical presentations and project updates.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in mechanical engineering / civil engineering / building construction
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in commercial building design and construction
  • Building Engineering Fundamentals
  • 3D Computer Aided Design of Building Systems (AutoDesk Revit Preferred)
  • Ability to generate and review detailed permit ready construction drawings
  • Document Control Experience (RFIs, Submittals, Change Orders, etc.)
  • Safety Management
  • Project Estimating
  • Survey and Project Layout
  • Quality Control / Quality Assurance inspections
  • Support projects with a project coordination plan
  • Basic knowledge of International Building, Plumbing, and Mechanical Codes, NFPA 101, NEC
  • Proficient in MS Office products
  • Due to the nature of NSI-MI Technologies' programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the U.S. and additionally must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code.
  • This position requires approximately 40% domestic and international travel.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters in engineering / building construction / business or equivalent (Desired)
  • Anechoic Chamber design and build experience
  • EIT / PE Certification
  • Proficient in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
  • Construction site work experience
  • General contractors license
  • SolidWorks mechanical software
  • Multi-faceted construction project experience

Compensation

Employee Type: Salaried

Salary Minimum: $135,000

Salary Maximum: $150,000

Incentive: No
