Why We Need You:

PEMCO has a dynamic and challenging opportunity for a Website Strategy & Experience Manager to join our community. The Website Strategy and Experience Manager will lead the strategy, design, performance, and optimization of PEMCO.com – driving organic traffic, improving conversion rates, and delivering exceptional user experiences. This role is critical to scaling PEMCO's growth and aligning web initiatives with broader company objectives.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive website strategy and governance model aligned with PEMCO's growth, brand, and customer engagement goals.
  • Own the website platform roadmap to ensure scalability, performance, and alignment with business priorities.
  • Support the delivery of web strategy roadmap and KPIs.
  • Champion the marketing vision on pemco.com by collaborating across internal tools and applications to ensure consistent user experience. Apply best practices in UX/UI design, SEO, conversion rate optimization (CRO), analytics, and accessibility to deliver a seamless and effective customer journey.
  • Monitor traffic, engagement, and conversion metrics to drive data-informed improvements.
  • Improve CRO through A/B testing, personalization, and iterative enhancements using tools like Optimizely or Google Optimize.
  • Collaborate with Data and AI teams to harness artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation tools that drive greater efficiency and performance across marketing initiatives.
  • Implement technical improvements to boost website speed and user experience.
  • Maintain the Content Management System (CMS) and manage content governance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and agencies to manage SEO strategy and grow organic traffic.
  • Audit and update website content to improve search visibility and lead generation.
  • Stay current on SEO trends, algorithm changes, and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with internal design partners—including creative, UX, brand, and digital experience teams—to ensure a modern, responsive, and intuitive site experience.
  • Ensure ADA compliance and optimize for usability and inclusivity.
  • Champion UX enhancements that support customer journeys and engagement.
  • Coordinate across marketing, sales, IT, and product teams to align web initiatives with business KPIs.
  • Manage execution of new features and updates with engineers, agencies, and freelancers.
  • Write clear and actionable requirements, oversee quality assurance (QA) and user acceptance testing (UAT) processes, and ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.
  • Partner with IT to maintain site security, manage backups, and support operational efficiency.

What You'll Bring:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent work experience (Marketing, Business, or related field of study)
  • 5-8 years of experience in web strategy, as part of an agency team or an in-house marketing team, with expertise in managing websites and CRO
  • MS Office: Skilled proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook is required
  • Business Environment: Has a thorough understanding of our industry, the relevant business landscape, trends in growth and insurance environments; the ability to spot early indicators of change and apply strategies to adapt quickly
  • Customer First: Has a relentless focus on the customer and dives deep into the challenges they face with a strong customer service orientation
  • Communication: excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expertise in CRO, SEO, and web analytics (GA4, Adobe, Amplitude, GTM).
  • Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., Kentico), HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic design tools.
  • Strong understanding of web funnel optimization and user motivation.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and its role in demand generation.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Compensation:

The pay range for this role is shown below. Compensation decisions are determined based on an individual's qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

  • Greater Seattle area target pay range: $112,949-$138,049.  The full pay range is $94,124-$156,873.
  • Outside greater Seattle area target pay range: $99,680-$121,831.  The full pay range is $83,066-$138,444.

Greater Seattle Area is defined as working within approximately 100 miles of Seattle.

Outside Greater Seattle is defined as working approximately 100 miles or more from Seattle.

Benefits:

Regular part-time PEMCO employees working at least 24 hours per week and regular full-time PEMCO employees are eligible to elect coverage under medical, dental, and vision plans for themselves and their eligible family members with generous employer premium cost shares. In addition, as a benefits-eligible employee, you are:

  • covered by employer-paid basic life and accidental death & dismemberment insurance policies as well as long- and short-term disability benefit coverages.
  • eligible to participate in PEMCO's 401(k) plan which includes a generous employer match (2 for 1 on the first 6% employee pre-tax and/or Roth deferral, up to federal maximums). 

PEMCO provides the following paid leave programs for benefits-eligible employees in their first year of PEMCO employment:

  • Vacation accrues at a rate of 10 days for new hires, and increases based on a schedule to a maximum annual accrual of 25 days based on tenure.
  • Granted four (4) personal days immediately upon hire.
  • Paid holidays for the eight (8) holidays observed by PEMCO throughout the calendar year.
  • Granted up to ten (10) days of sick leave immediately upon hire (pro-rated based on hire date and full-time/part-time status), which is approximately 28 hours more per year than the Washington state-required accrual.
  • In addition, PEMCO provides paid time off for bereavement, jury duty, and employee volunteering in the community.

Other compensation depending on role, contributions, and performance may include:

  • Discretionary bonuses.
