Responsible for applying mechanical engineering principles in the testing, certification and product development process from concept ideation, design, prototype, testing, and commissioning to final production. Participate in a cross-functional Team that owns the action plan to deliver commercial products.
5+ years of mechanical engineering design & development experience; should include knowledge of manufacturing environment, preferably in consumer durable or packaged goods.
Extensive knowledge in engineering mechanical systems, sheet-metal, weldments and commercial equipment.
Knowledge of mechanical engineering and product development principles and practices.
Ability to creating 3-D models, assemblies and drawings. SolidWorks skills a plus.
Knowledge of design analysis utilizing finite element analysis, proficiency preferred.
Computer literate in MS Office products, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
Strong written and oral presentation and technical communication skills - for both internal groups as well as clients and trade groups/ seminars
