SUMMARY The Clinical Analyst works with all clinical modules of the HIS system to keep them updated. The Clinical Analyst is responsible for additional modules applications that may be added as the focus shifts toward an interoperable, integrated Electronic Health Record. Compliance with rules and regulations of all applicable federal, state and local laws as well as PMHC policies is a condition of employment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Incumbent must have the skills, ability and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation: Works with departments to keep clinical modules updatedWorks with clinics clinical modules updatedResponsible for all approved clinical dictionary editsOrient all new employees including but not limited to Nursing, Providers, Students; on use of the EMR systemResponsible for all future update testing and education of changes to the staffSupport of the ambulatory module including but not limited to: Facilitation of requested features or functionality of the systemDictionary editsOn-going education and training of staffSupport of all clinic providers utilizing the EMR system hosted by PMHCCommunication and education of changesConstruction of teaching/training materialsEMR education of new staff including medical students at all clinics Supports new features and functions of the EMR as neededCooperates and communicates with the Medical StaffWill be responsible to help get the following new initiatives going and for ongoing support once LIVE: AmbulatoryPDOC (Provider Documentation)OMCentralized SchedulingBarcoding at the bedsideDocument Scanning/ImagingNUR documentation in OR, ER, DietaryElectronic Medication Administration RecordLabImaging Helps to establish goals for future planningSupports initiatives related to hosting software to other sitesOther duties as required as PMHC progresses towards a fully electronic, interoperable medical record PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE RN or LPN.Minimum of three years of clinical experience in a hospital setting. COMPETENCIES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED currently licensed as an RN or LPN in the state of Nebraska.
