Director of Advanced TV Sales - Yahoo (Finance)

Yahoo is seeking an experienced, passionate, and entrepreneurial salesperson to drive Advanced TV DSP revenue across the US. The candidate must possess a strong understanding of both Advanced TV and programmatic platforms. This candidate must be a strong team player and communicator as they will support the broader sales and agency teams.

Your Charter

  • Drive regional Advanced TV revenue growth against a portfolio of customers with a quarterly sales quota
  • Lead Advanced TV sales presentations
  • Drive relationships with key brand and agency influencers and across video investment, digital and programmatic teams.
  • Partner internally with the Yahoo Sales and Agency teams to drive account strategy and insights.
  • Communicate key product and partnership updates to internal sales teams and clients quickly and clearly.
  • Drive prioritization strategy for new business and growth accounts
  • Drive Yahoo's market presence through key TV industry events, thought leadership, speaking engagements, promotional webinars, social, and key client meetings.
  • Drive Advanced TV product and partnership priorities through direct customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and insights into revenue potential.
  • Drive internal training and marketing support including GTM materials
  • Secure customer advocacy through winning client testimonials, branded case studies, and joint marketing & PR opportunities.

What We Want

  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate clearly, persuasively and empathetically with diverse audiences, including key customers and decision makers.
  • Experience in Connected TV, addressable TV, and over-the-top (OTT) advertising, ideally in an environment subject to shifting budgets from traditional linear into digital/addressable channels.
  • Experience driving sales organizations to integrate and support ATV go-to-market customer sales milestones and objectives.
  • A tireless advocate of the customer ecosystem (consumers, advertisers, publishers), who will stop at nothing to deliver best in class experiences
  • A humble leader who can listen and learn as much as they can to articulate a vision and lead through to execution
  • The ability to apply out of the box thinking and discipline of process to a large-scale matrixed organization in a period of transformation.
  • Action-oriented mindset with a proven track record of delivering quick wins and driving growth while refining and translating a long-term vision.

What You Bring

  • 6+ years of Advanced TV sales or partnership experience.
  • Intimate knowledge of the OTT/streaming demand and supply landscape
  • Expertise in advertising technologies and platforms with an emphasis on DSPs
  • Relationships with key advanced TV influencers across agencies and advertisers.
  • A history and proven track record of successful partnerships supported by references.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic and critical thinking skills; management by numbers with demonstrable abilities in data-driven decision making
  • Value in building trusting relationships with a diverse range of leaders, teams, and stakeholders

The compensation for this position ranges from $217,905.00 - $473,710.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
