Facilities Maintenance Technician (Maintenance)

The Facilities Maintenance is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks.  Performance of building and office maintenance tasks in the following areas:  carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, and plumbing.  Will perform general cleaning and other tasks related to building and office repair. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Monitor, maintain, and perform standard repairs to building electrical systems.
  • Monitor the performance of heating, ventilation, and cooling systems for the building.
  • Perform standard repairs/replacement of components, as appropriate, and non-technical maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and perform maintenance of plumbing systems.
  • Perform carpentry maintenance tasks.
  • Painting of interior and exterior finishes as needed. 
  • Assist in maintaining water treatment and storage systems.
  • Ensure proper care of maintenance equipment and supplies.
  • Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Document facilities maintenance requirements and maintain appropriate records of work performed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3-5 years experience working in facilities maintenance.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer service oriented.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to perform other functions such as standing, walking, sitting, twisting, and carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in cold and wet conditions with the smell of chlorine (inside plant 34 degrees and below)
  • Must be flexible with schedule and be available to work PM shift, weekends, and overtime as required.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range:

$18.65 - $31.09

Final base pay will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to; role responsibilities, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and/or internal pay equity. Please keep in mind that we consider internal pay equity and hiring at the maximum of the salary range uncommon.
