Associate Director, Philanthropy - Institutional Advancement (Finance)



The Nemours Health System is currently seeking an Associate Director, Philanthropy to support our Institutional Advancement Team. This position will be based in Orlando, FL.

Nemours Fund for Children's Health is seeking a dynamic philanthropy officer to support all facets of fundraising activity within central Florida. The Philanthropy Officer position will play an important role in increasing Nemours' capacity to meet its growing programmatic and funding needs, develop long-term relationships with mid-level donors ($1,000 to $24,999), cultivate grateful patient relationships, and execute mid-level upgrade strategies to feed the pipeline for the major gifts program. This person will report to the Director, Annual Giving, and will work with colleagues to create and implement plans for prospect management and donor stewardship with a particular emphasis on donor retention and upgrading strategies. Travel is required.

Essential Functions:

1.Manage a portfolio or individual prospects capable of making gifts $1,000-$24,999. Actively practice moves management through the benefactor life cycle of identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship that would increase overall levels of giving at the major gift level.

2. Document all donor related activities using Raiser's Edge donor system.

3. Manage assigned clinical relationships for grateful patient family fundraising.

4. Work in partnership with Institutional Advancement, program staff, and volunteer leadership on specific relationship building and fundraising activities throughout the year. 5. Advance relationships with Annual Fund donors $1,000 - $9,999 that meet major gift prospect criteria.

6. Serve as the Orlando lead for the Associate Giving campaign, including but not limited to: hosting promotional events; coordinating stewardship mailings; distribution of recognition gifts; etc.

7. Work with grateful families to honor caregivers through the Infinite Advocate program by scheduling and attending pinning ceremonies. 8. Take on special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree

3-5 years of job-related experience required. Apply
