MRP Coordinator (Administrative)

This position is located in our Yadkinville, NC Facility.

The MRP Coordinator is responsible for planning and coordinating the timely procurement and availability of raw materials, packaging, and ingredients required for food manufacturing. This role ensures that production schedules are met while maintaining optimal inventory levels and adhering to food safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes within the ERP system to support daily and long-term production needs.
  • Create and release purchase orders for ingredients, packaging, and other materials based on MRP outputs.
  • Monitor supplier performance and lead times to ensure timely delivery of materials, especially those with short shelf lives.
  • Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and procurement teams to resolve material shortages, overages, or quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate master data including shelf life, safety stock, reorder points, and supplier lead times.
  • Support new product launches and seasonal production changes by adjusting material plans accordingly.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance planning accuracy and reduce waste.
  • Adhere to all Safety & GMP Procedures.
  • Assist with additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Experience, Skills, Education:

  • High School Diploma Required; Associate degree Preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ Years' experience in related field
  • Experience using ERP systems
  • MRP Experience Preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/Outlook
  • Manufacturing/Production Skills Preferred
  • Detail Oriented
  • Basic Math Skills
  • Reading/Comprehension Ability
  • Ability to Work Independently or in a Group Setting
  • Identify Problems and Respond Accordingly
  • Effective Communication Skills
