Finance Analyst (Finance)



In this role, you will manage and assist the Plant Controller with forecasting and analysis, financial closing, reporting, and inventory management activities across multiple locations. This position is critical for ensuring that internal controls are in place and adhered to, while providing invaluable financial insights to drive operational efficiency.As a Finance Analyst here at Honeywell, you will play a key role in analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights that drive strategic decision-making. Your analytical skills will be essential in supporting our financial planning and analysis efforts, contributing to the overall success of our organization. You will report directly to our Finance Manager and you'll work out of our Baton Rouge, LA location on a Hybrid work schedule.YOU MUST HAVE
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an accounting position
  • Strong foundational understanding of cost accounting principles

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable
  • Experience in SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products

  • Capacity to comprehend plant and business operations beyond the accounting perspective

  • Execute comprehensive month-end closing responsibilities, ensuring all monthly transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Perform ongoing analyses of financial results, presenting findings in a clear and insightful manner.
  • Lead the coordination and reconciliation of physical inventories, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Maintain and enhance robust internal control processes and educate team members through finance learning series to strengthen financial acumen across the site.
  • Identify and implement financial process improvements and cost savings opportunities.
  • Engage in special projects and perform ad hoc analyses as required; demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet organizational needs.
