Product Owner (Information Technology)



OVERVIEW
iTech AG is seeking a Product Owner to support our federal client. The Product Owner supports and guides the definition, implementation, and delivery of software products and features focused on modernizing various software systems. The Product Owner is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and managing the assigned team product backlog to ensure the development team delivers maximum business value. This role requires a strong understanding of SAFe Agile methodologies and exceptional communication skills.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with the government team to clarify requirements (initiatives, features, & stories).
  • Assist in managing and refining the team product feature backlog.
  • Lead user story development and refinement of acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritize functionality into sprints and coordinate management of expectations.
  • Support program-level functional roadmap development.
  • Provide functional needs and depth of understanding to the team during sprint planning.
  • Support and highlight business value presentations at system demos and iteration reviews.
  • Coordinate efforts across the program and work dependencies with the greater team.
  • Facilitate team backlog refinement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Project Manager, working with agile software teams.
  • Experience utilizing SAFe methodologies for agile delivery of business systems and applications.
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders at various levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles.
  • Outstanding presentation and leadership skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Including a proactive disposition toward identifying problems and providing solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Must work east coast work hours.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Certified SAFe® Product Manager/Product Owner.
  • Experience supporting ServiceNow implementation projects.
SECURITY CLEARANCE
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
