Manager, FP&A (Finance)



Job Overview

The FP&A Manager will bridge financial planning, commercial strategy, and pricing execution. Evolving from a traditional pricing manager position, this role will take on broader ownership of revenue and profitability planning, while continuing to champion customer pricing and collaborating with sales on customer contract negotiations from a financial support lens.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with Finance leadership and Commercial teams to define and operationalize the Commercial FP&A function.
  • Manage forecasting, planning, and analysis for revenue, pricing, and customer profitability.
  • Own and evolve commercial planning models (e.g., volume, revenue, COGS, margin, discounts, rebates).
  • Support the CFO and Senior Manager of FP&A in annual budgeting, extended time horizon business planning, and strategic decision-making.
  • Steward and develop a high-performing team, fostering individual growth and reinforcing our strong family-owned culture through mentorship, collaboration, and values-based leadership.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on large-scale projects including product launches, go-to-market strategy, business development, and regulatory impact assessments.
  • Develop reporting and dashboards to provide insight into pricing performance, deal health, customer segment profitability, and commercial KPIs.
  • Perform financial analysis on new and existing business opportunities, including customer, product, and channel-level economics.
  • Develop a clear financial decision-making framework - grounded in ROI, payback, and long-term value creation - to evaluate potential commercial investments and guide strategic prioritization.
  • Manage and oversee all major RFP pricing opportunities, ensuring alignment with both short and long-term enterprise and customer profitability goals.
  • Research competitive pricing benchmarks and market dynamics to inform strategic pricing decisions.
  • Drive pricing optimization initiatives, including cost-to-serve analysis, price waterfalls, volume-based pricing structures, freight, rebates, and thresholds.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Product teams to develop pricing strategies that align with commercial goals and customer feedback.
  • Partner with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to conduct financial and price-sensitivity analyses tied to internal and external supply chain shifts, informing strategic sourcing and commercial decisions.
  • Maintain and manage base price lists across all regions and ensure pricing accuracy across systems and sales tools.
  • Support the design and implementation of pricing systems, processes, and approval workflows.
  • Lead post-deal analytics to identify pricing wins/losses and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance for all pricing approvals and policies.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance disciplines with 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, pricing, or strategic finance roles.
  • 2+ years of experience leading and developing teams.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a high-performing team
  • Deep experience with pricing strategy, revenue planning, and profitability analysis, financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning.
  • High business acumen and ability to act as a strategic advisor to Sales, Product, and Executive teams.
  • Proven record of accomplishment for establishing and managing project plans and adjusting to changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Skilled in process development, execution and continuous improvement.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master's Degree in Business or Finance.
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with pricing software such as SAP CPQ.
  • Previous experience in the cheese/dairy industry or other high fixed cost manufacturing businesses.
  • Robust analytical skills and ability to utilize computer systems and related tools, including SAP, Microsoft Office, and BI Platforms (SAP BW, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Self-starting, proactive individual that is comfortable working independently and in teams.
  • Keen sense of priorities and outspoken advocate of the bottom line.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in an office setting.

• Travel up to 15%

• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35°F to 100°F; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
