What You'll Do:

Treasury Management (TM) Inside Sales primary role is to provide expertise, consultation, and recommend treasury solutions to business relationships in Retail banking.  TM Inside Sales is a product partner for Retail including: Managers, Relationship Bankers and others to ensure treasury management solutions are introduced to businesses.  The expectation is that through a deepened relationship with TM Inside Sales, our retail staff and their client‘s banking experience will be enhanced which will result in client retention and new business.  

This role will have direct client contact via phone/email/MS Teams within assigned coverage.  This person will collaborate with the Inside Sales team to do regular presentations and communication to all Retail teams in Wintrust.  Including but not limited to: newsletters, trainings, sales product presentations. Expected attendance in person and/or MS Teams for internal treasury management and team meetings.

  • Time Spent on Customer and Prospect Sales: Following Retail referral, Inside Sales will communicate via phone or email with a business directly, and create customized presentations for each based on overall analysis. Analysis includes and is not limited to: reviewing existing services at competing bank focused on usage patterns, designing product group to meet current needs, recommending additional treasury products, and suggesting changes in account structures based on efficiency, cost, fraud protection, automation and ease of use. Pre call preparation with Retail includes research on the company, overall relationship, and discussing product recommendations.  The Inside Sales person will handle communication for TM product updates or campaigns directly with customers and/or Retail.

  • Time Spent on Relationship Reviews and Proactive Sales: Reviewing reports posted for cross-sell and enhancing customer relationships.  Reviewing existing Retail assigned banking relationships on a self-designated periodic basis. Analyzing existing usage patterns and using this data to identify recommendations for additional Treasury products and account structures.

  • Time Spent on Portfolio Maintenance & Implementation: Responsible for sales generated ticket maintenance creation and successful completion by TM Support teams.  On new sales opportunities: collection of onboarding information from business, submitting new product setup requests, getting signed TM agreements, and overall managing the entire workflow of new product implementation ending with the customer successfully trained on solutions.  Act as escalation point for complex issues including discovery, escalation, and resolution.  The primary focus is revenue-generating tasks.  This is not intended to be a service or support role but Inside Sales is expected to guide and direct Retail staff to appropriate resources within the bank.

  • Time Spent on Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate portfolio planning and tracking for revenue forecasting, as well as goal measurement.

  • Time Spent on Special Projects: This may include portfolio wide product usage analysis; identifying, notifying and implementing product upgrades; researching customers affected by a product or service change; analyzing the impact of a regulatory change.  

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years financial services experience, with prior sales experience preferred

  • Resourceful, with a sales mindset from initial conversation through implementation fully closing the deal

  • Proactively work on sales efforts and handle special projects when needed

  • Flexible adapting with changes, multitask various daily duties, possess a keen attention to detail, and effectively manage changing priorities

  • Work independently, gain and apply knowledge of Treasury Management solutions as well as navigate several information systems

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this role is $55,000 - $67,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills and experience.
