Senior Financial Analyst (Project Management)

Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst at Medline plays a pivotal role within the Global Reporting & Analytics team in Finance, supporting global business units and Finance Presidents through key projects and process improvements. This position is responsible for supporting the preparation and review of monthly management adjustments, validating financial data within Oracle Cloud EPM and other systems, and enhancing financial reporting processes. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential as the Senior Financial Analyst drives finance process improvements, supports financial reporting, and actively contributes to project management.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Oracle PBCS, financial reporting, and data visualization tools such as Tableau. This position is a HYBRID role based at our Northfield, Illinois HQ.

  • Understanding of Oracle PBCS and FCCS application database tables, interfaces, and data relationships.

  • Support and enhance financial reporting packages and dashboards by partnering with key stakeholders, leveraging tools such as Tableau and Microsoft Power BI to deliver actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.

  • Support the preparation, review, and timely submission of monthly management adjustments and support the close process, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting deadlines.

  • Perform data analysis, validation, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information.

  • Proactively identify, manage, mitigate, and resolve process issues utilizing a pre-defined governance process, including escalation to Management as needed.

  • Develop and enhance SOPs to document critical workflows and ensure knowledge transfer across the team.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Financial Systems, FP&A, and Division Finance teams, to resolve data discrepancies

  • Identify and recommend process improvements, proactively seeking opportunities to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of financial reporting.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma

  • At least 3 years of financial planning, reporting, and analysis experience

  • Advanced skill level in ERP financial systems

  • Experience working with Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools to create executive-ready dashboards.

  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

  • 4+ years of relevant Finance experience, including Accounting, Finance Reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis.

  • 1+ years of relevant experience implementing one or more EPM Technologies.

  • Working knowledge of EPM, Cloud EPM apps preferred

  • Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) skills.

  • Must have experience in accounting and finance and understand the impacts on financial management and reporting tools and systems.

  • Global Planning and Consolidation processes strongly preferred, including cash flow statements, intercompany eliminations, investment eliminations, and financial statements.

  • Must have solid communication (verbal / written) and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.

  • Maintain a positive, can-do attitude and proactively reach out to users to provide good customer service

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$85,280.00 - $123,760.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
