RFP Training Lead (Finance)



ROLE TITLE: RFP TRAINING LEAD
ROLE SUMMARY

The RFP Training Lead within the U.S. Employer Project Management Team plays a crucial role in fostering growth and enhancing knowledge across all RFP-focused roles. This individual should have experience in some aspects of sales processes, preferably in RFP, and possess a deep understanding of Cigna's business, buyer groups, and products. This role is pivotal in educating and mentoring both new hires and experienced RFP staff.

Key responsibilities of the RFP Training Lead include the development and delivery of comprehensive RFP training materials related to Cigna's products, departmental processes, tools, and strategies. The RFP Training Lead ensures continuous staff learning by creating and delivering training on new Cigna programs and RFP processes, as well as addressing widespread knowledgegaps

EDUCATING AND MENTORING RFP STAFF

  • Responsible for the development and delivery of training materials for new hire and existing staff training programs across all roles within US Commercial RFP Strategy & Operations.
  • Keeps current with Cigna products and services including collaborating with other functions to update training materials, reflecting current products, processes, segment-specific information, and improvements based on feedback. Additionally, tailors the training curriculum to meet the needs of each class, ensuring engagement and comprehension based on theaudience.
  • Provides coaching and manages the performance of new hires during the training program to ensure learning goals and expectations are understood and met, meeting regularly with management as needed. Effectively communicates feedback on new hire training performance to the management team, including individual and aggregate learning status and any additional trainingopportunities
  • Mentors new hires through live case work, providing feedback to help them achieve milestones. Reviews new hire case work before release to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to SOPs andguidelines
  • Utilizes trend results to suggest continuous improvement opportunities to be addressed through coaching and mentoring.
  • Guides the growth of the experienced, front-line RFP staff's critical thinking, writing, and proposal project management skills when managing complexproposals.

LEADING IMPROVEMENTS & DRIVING POSITIVE CHANGE

  • Provides professional input to drive efficiencies in the training program to maximize the value of these resources to improve results.
  • Maintains product knowledge to ensure training content covers product enhancements and process improvements. Additionally, collaborates with other functions to address training needs based on identified gaps or trends in front-lineproposals.
  • Supports and educates front-line employees on workflows, processes, and tools for proposals and newproducts/programs.
  • Maintains proficiency in various RFP roles to stay informed about RFP trends, enabling improved content development and training. This may include leading live RFP work.
  • Supports training initiatives and improvement projects within the team.
  • Recommends solutions to management for improvements to support overall business needs, and participates in solution creation through testing, tracking, and implementation asneeded.
  • Maintains a strong customer focus by treating proposals as selling documents and incorporates these principles into trainingmaterials.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experienced in some aspects of sales processes, with a preference for RFPs, and skilled in projectmanagement.
  • Knowledgeable about Cigna's business, products, services, processes, and tools.
  • Possesses analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Some experience in training design and delivery is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-pacedenvironment.
  • Resourceful and able to navigate the organization quickly to get answers and/or expertise.
  • Self-driven, takes initiative, and works independently, requiring only expert-levelsupport from others.
  • Open to stepping out of your comfort zone to work on something new.
  • Not intimidated by areas that may be new or unfamiliar.
  • A fast learner .
  • Able to support improvement projects as needed.
  • 10% Travel Required
  • Bachelor Degree preferred, but not required.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 69,500 - 115,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
