Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to join the leadership team of National Pipe & Plastics (NPP), overseeing financial operations for a dynamic and expanding $500M+ business segment. This high-impact role partners directly with senior executives to drive financial performance, lead strategic initiatives and shape long-term business outcomes. The ideal candidate brings deep financial expertise, a track record of leading change and the ability to influence cross-functional decision-making at the enterprise level.

Job Location

This role is based in our Colfax, NC office, with visibility across national operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Financial Leadership: Direct all aspects of financial management, including monthly close, forecasting and strategic planning, ensuring timely, accurate, and actionable insights for executive leadership.
  • Strategic Business Partnering: Serve as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team, translating financial insights into strategic recommendations that drive EBITDA growth and operational excellence.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of 8 finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Integration of Operating Units: Lead the financial integration and ongoing management of additional operating units, ensuring alignment with corporate standards, financial controls and performance expectations.
  • Change Management & ERP Transition: Spearhead finance transformation initiatives, including the successful implementation and adoption of ERP systems and other digital tools to enhance reporting, controls and scalability.
  • Investment Analysis & Decision Support: Provide rigorous financial analysis and modeling to support capital allocation, M&A and other investment decisions, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic goals.
  • Audit & Compliance Oversight: Act as the primary finance liaison for internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards.
  • Balance Sheet & Cash Flow Optimization: Own and optimize the balance sheet, with a focus on working capital, cash flow forecasting and risk mitigation.
  • Performance Analytics & BI: Develop and deliver executive-level dashboards and business intelligence tools that provide real-time visibility into key performance indicators.
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Collaborate with operations, commercial and corporate teams to align financial goals with broader business objectives and transformation initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Drive a culture of innovation by challenging the status quo, identifying process enhancements and implementing best practices in financial operations.

Job Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including cost accounting and project management in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proven success in leading finance teams and managing organizational change, including ERP transitions and integration of new business units.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience in investment evaluation and strategic decision support.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems (SAP preferred) and data visualization tools.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
