POSP: Buyer I (Finance)



JOB SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Buyer - Entry Level executes procurement activities while communicating with Vendors and internal stakeholders on status and risk. Responsible for executing all phases of purchase requisition management including PO and freight issue resolution. The Entry Level Buyer executes activities in home-grown tools, Excel models, and SAP systems.

This role is high-speed, high-volume, and requires attention to detail and a strong tenacity to close actions and provide deliverables.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • PO LIFECYCLE: Execute and track all functions of PO life cycle (creation, monitoring, closing, issue resolution)
  • PO MODS: Modify POs as directed and required to meet inventory goals
  • FREIGHT: Resolve in-bound freight issues from suppliers
  • VENDOR ENGAGEMENT: Interact with suppliers daily to build relationships & drive PO updates
  • INV: Assist with inventory levels, mix, executing stock rotations, & supporting sales pipeline
  • VRD: Drive exception process management for any product received which does not conform to purchase order
  • COMMS: Provide all key purchasing communications and tracking systems
  • oSF: Procurement Case resolution: ship status, delivery issues, PO change, Inquiries, and any other tasks requiring resolution
  • Other duties as required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:
    • BS or BA in Business or related field (or degree in progress) preferred
  • Minimum Experience required:
    • 1 or more years of purchasing experience
  • Skills required:
    • Experience in a growth business environment
    • Strong analytical aptitude with proven ability to analyze, interpret, and summarize data and use it to make recommendations
    • Exceptional organization and follow-up skills
    • Superior communication skills in both verbal and written format
    • Strong communication skills and ability to take initiative
    • Successful in a fast-paced environment and able to effectively use problem-solving techniques
    • Team player who works productively with staff at all levels of the organization
    • Excel and SAP experience preferred

Compensation:

Compensation Range: $48,000 - $55,000

Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer. This position is not eligible for a variable pay component as part of the hiring range.
