Business Project Senior Advisor - Work from home - myMatrixx (Finance)



The MyMatrixx Product Solutions Team is looking for a Business Project Senior Advisor to lead product development initiatives that align with clients' needs and business goals by acting as the bridge between stakeholders and developers. This role will guide and support the development of solutions through ideation and launch. Responsible for gathering and communicating business requirements, planning projects, aligning stakeholders, performing risk analysis and mitigation, managing the product backlog, and prioritizing features to maximize value delivery. Provides counsel and advice to top management on significant Business Project Management matters, often requiring coordination between organizations and cross functional teams. Collaborates with one or more teams of business consultants involved in the evaluation of systems requirements and/or the development of new solutions to address highly complex business needs. Actions have significant impact on key Department objectives. Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines.

  • Key Functions
    • Assigned products and/or projects related to specialty area(s) coordinated by the PMO Director.
      • Senior would be able to handle projects across multiple specialties with minimal ramp time
    • Follows PMO standards, processes (to include but not limited to intake, prioritization, etc.)
      • Senior would proactively look for areas of improvement to make the process better, make suggestions, garner alignment and execute if given green light
    • Responsible for gathering and/or validating business sponsor technical requirements in order to complete the opportunity canvas and be able to present/represent project to technology, stakeholders, and senior leadership
    • Responsible for attending technology meetings to answer questions on business requirements in order to get them to technical definition of ready
    • Responsible for ensuring business validation of quality testing and be present during release schedule as needed
    • Create and maintain roadmap of projects/products owned, macro and feature level
    • Monitor project with preferred tool to ensure timely delivery which includes capturing risks, risk mitigation, and risk acceptance criteria. Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred but not required
    • Senior would be able to monitor project level budget to escalate concerns or risks to director
    • This is a client facing role requiring interaction with clients and possibly prospects to understand requirements and represent our technical products as needed
  • Skills/Qualifications
    • 4 Year undergraduate degree or 8+ years' experience in product or project management
    • Experience in end-to-end project, and stakeholder, management for projects of varying budget, scope, and schedule.
    • Project management (PMP certified preferred)
    • Emphasis on strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation), especially with the ability to work with executives and broad teams; tailoring communication per audience
    • Excellent analytic and strategic thinking skills
    • Leadership: although not a people leader role, needs to be able to coordinate, collaborate, and direct SMEs, stakeholders, and cross functional teams to meet deliverable dates
    • Ability to prioritize and balance workload accordingly, detail-oriented and proactive
    • Risk management
    • Advanced problem solving including being able to thrive in a complex and sometime ambiguous environment
    • Ability to retain and grow technical knowledge to better facilitate requirements gathering process
