Associate Director, Advancement Communications (Finance)



Writes and edits a wide variety of documents, publications and electronic communications for the USF Foundation as part of the Foundation Communications office. Responsible for production of proposals, holding the lead writing role for the USF Magazine, and the lead writer and editor in a number of WLP and Gift Planning printed and web publications, including the Gift Planning newsletter and annual report, WLP communications and annual report, as well as the Performance Report. In addition, the position manages the Foundation website and proposal writing program. Position works within an office environment using a computer, pens, and paper. There are no extraordinary physical demands for the position.This position requires a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement on a year for year basis.

FLSB1310 Equivalency:
4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's degree.

Grow Here .Participates in the creation and production of printed and electronic Development and USF Foundation communications, including, but not limited to, providing written copy for newsletters, brochures, annual reports, proposals/grants and the two Foundation websites. Is the lead writer for proposals and the USF Magazine and Performance Report as well as other publications.

Manages updates to the Foundation website and approves all content changes. This involves ensuring all pages for both Foundation and Giving sites are continually refreshed and kept up-to-date to ensure optimal SEO. Works with units to ensure their giving pages are meeting our standards and content is refreshed, visually appealing and meets standards. Works with Web Master in IM on design updates.

Manages the Proposal Program. Logs proposals in to system, seeks initial approval to proceed, works with DO on content, researches prospect giving histories and pertinent details in Banner, circulates for copy editing, seeks final approval through leadership and logs results in spreadsheet to share with IM to track effectiveness of proposal.

Works as part of team to create marketing and communications plans and strategies for the USF Foundation and various stakeholders.

Writes letters and documents for USF Foundation staff and edits the same when written by other staff members. Apply
