Organizational Development Specialist I-Talent Development (Full-Time, Hybrid, Charlotte, North Carolina Based (Healthcare)



The Organizational Development Specialist I-Talent Development role is responsible for building and managing job-related competencies, monitoring and evaluating talent development metrics and facilitating development programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge and competencies. 

This role will focus on identifying and analyzing employees' skills and behaviors critical to achieving our organizational strategic goals and developing resources to guide career development and succession planning. This role will collaborate within the Organizational, Development & Learning (ODL) department, monitoring programs and progress to improve department deliverables within the organization.

 The Organizational Development Specialist I-Talent Development will report to the Organizational Development Manager. 

This is a full-time hybrid opportunity. The selected candidate must be available to report onsite to the Alliance office (Charlotte, North Carolina) up to 5 days per month. 

Responsibilities & Duties

Competency Management

  • Develop and maintain competency frameworks that define the skills and behaviors required for all job roles and align with organizational values and strategic goals
  • Create reports and tools to identify employees' competency strengths and gaps
  • Assist employees in identifying and planning their career development and career objectives within the organization
  • Regularly review and manage employee and competency data within the competency technology platform, providing employee and new hire training and resources
  • Facilitate the integration of competencies within other HR processes, such as recruitment, performance management and succession planning
  • Develop and maintain competency resources and materials, i.e. guides, job-aids, presentations, etc., leveraging internal communication channels, learning platforms and intranet sites

Organizational Effectiveness

  • Develop and maintain resources to assist with department and organizational initiatives; examples may include: individual development plans, change management trainings, talent development dashboard
  • Assist with OD processes and projects; including change management, employee experience and engagement and succession planning
  • Regularly review resources and project deliverables to ensure they remain relevant and adapt to organizational changes
  • Create and maintain metrics and dashboards on talent development results and progress to improve overall planning, bench strength development and organizational capacity

Program Evaluation and Improvement

  • Develop evaluations and tools to collect data and monitor the effectiveness of OD programs, surveys and initiatives
  • Gather quantitative and qualitative data through various methods such as interviews, focus groups, and observations
  • Analyze collected data to identify trends, strengths, gaps, and areas for improvement
  • Prepare detailed reports that summarize the evaluation results and provide actionable insights
  • Make recommendations for program improvements based on the evaluation findings
  • Present findings and recommendations to program managers, leadership, and other stakeholders

Collaboration

  • Assist the Organizational Development (OD) Consultants with the implementation and adoption of resources and activities related to change management, employee engagement and culture development
  • Collaborate within ODL team to ensure programs and initiatives are aligned with internal opportunities and support the mission and vision of the department
  • Assist the Onboarding Specialist with New Employee Orientation (NEO) and employee onboarding
  • Support organizational and department trainings and activities onsite as needed

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

Required:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Industrial/Organizational Psychology; Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a field providing background in organizational analysis and management development and at least two (2) years of work experience in organizational development, learning and development, organizational change management or human resources functions.

Preferred:

Organizational Development Certification Program (ODCP), Certified Professional in Organizational Development (CPOD), Professional in Human Resources (PHR); or related certification

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching, and instruction for individuals and groups
  • Considerable knowledge planning, administering, supervising, and coordination learning activities
  • Knowledge of measurement of training evaluation
  • Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods including alternative ways to inform and entertain the target audience via written, oral, and visual media
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language
  • Ability to express oneself effectively both in written and oral formats.
  • Ability to engage an audience

Salary Range

$66,227 - $92,107/Annually

Exact compensation will be determined based on the candidate's education, experience, external market data and consideration of internal equity.

  • Bachelors or better in Oganizational Management

Licenses & Certifications
