About the Role:

Are you ready to be on the front lines of creating a world-class airport journey? As part of our Guest Experience Department, you'll be the friendly face that welcomes travelers and ensures their flight through the terminal is smooth, safe, and memorable.

Think of yourself as part of our “in-flight crew on the ground”—your mission is to provide outstanding guest service, from answering questions to assisting with special needs, all while keeping health, safety, and cleanliness standards soaring high. Just like a pre-flight inspection, you'll perform routine checks of our facilities to make sure every detail is spotless, comfortable, and ready for takeoff.

Reporting to the Guest Experience Supervisor within the Commercial Management & Marketing Division, you'll play a vital role in maintaining a guest-focused culture that ensures every traveler's journey with us takes off on the right note.

The shift for this role is 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM and schedules change every 4 months in a bid process. 

Compensation:

  • Maximum – Based on experience
  • Minimum - $34,655.50

What You'll Do:

  • Exercise diplomacy and interact effectively and courteously with airport guests and the public.
  • Completes daily activities to deliver a guest-focused culture and a healthy, safe, seamless, and enjoyable experience to all airport guests, employees, and vendors.
  • Provides proactive passenger assistance beyond the information desk area by staffing the mobile desk or by roving assigned areas, including ticketing, gate, and baggage claim areas in Terminals 1 & 2. Coordinates with team members for appropriate coverage.
  • Reports any suspicious or unusual behavior and/or service interruptions that impact the guest experience to appropriate departments and personnel.
  • Performs activities and program tasks that enhance the safety and well-being of RDU guests, vendors, tenants, and employees through the enforcement of airport terminal standards, including cleaning and disinfection, designed to minimize risk in Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and other designated areas, including the following:
    o Completing daily in-depth terminal area inspections, restroom inspections and other inspections, as requested

Emergency/Weather Status:

This position is considered Essential. This means this department and role are essential to operations and required to be on-site when there is an airport incident (emergency/weather) event.

Typical Work Hours:

The shift for this role is 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM and schedules change every 4 months in a bid process. 

  • Bid Shift Options (every 4 months) include:
    • 1st shift: 4:00 AM – 12:00 PM
    • 1st shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
    • 2nd shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
    • 3rd shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM  

 

  • Shift requirement may include weekend days and/or holidays

  • On-site RDU Airport Campus
