CNC Machinist (Manufacturing)



Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Set up and operate a wide range of CNC-style lathes efficiently and accurately.
  • Manage time effectively to complete assigned jobs within the allotted time, while planning and organizing future machining tasks.
  • Exhibit a strong sense of urgency and consistently demonstrate a solid work ethic.
  • Utilize a high mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain a positive and proactive attitude in all aspects of the job.
  • Prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of projects without compromising quality.
  • Leverage a deep understanding of machining and manufacturing processes, and actively share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
  • Embrace and uphold ACI's Core Values in all interactions and work practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to obtain OSHA-required Forklift Certification.
  • Proficient in computer applications, especially in shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control.
  • Knowledge of and experience with precision-measuring instruments, including but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and scales.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications, with a strong understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensions.
  • Familiarity with tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, and other accessories used on various machines.
  • Strong senses of sight and hearing, with excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to speak with poise, voice control, and confidence, using a well-modulated voice.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple routine projects and activities simultaneously while maintaining control, poise, and professionalism.
  • Having experience with Okuma CNC Lathe, Fanuc CNC Lathe, Mori Seiki Lathe, Mastercam Programming highly preferred
