Project Manager (Information Technology)

MATRIX is seeking a Project Manager to support apharmaceutical manufacturing site in Indiana. This role is ideal for anyone with experience executing complex industrial rigging, lifting, and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily planning, execution, and communication efforts to ensure alignment with client expectations. Develop and maintain a clear understanding of the project scope, deliverables, and timelines. Actively manage scope changes and ensure proper documentation and approvals for any changes or modifications. Supervise and coordinate rigging and lifting operations in an industrial environment. Work closely with the Site Supervision and experienced craft workers to ensure compliance with engineering plans, safety standards, and best practices. Facilitate the smooth flow of information and resolve field-level issues promptly to prevent delays. Develop and maintain project schedules. Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials to meet project milestones and deadlines. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients project team and stakeholders. Communicate professionally, manage expectations, and address client concerns proactively. Manage commercial aspects of the project, including reviewing and initiating change orders, tracking costs, and ensuring contract compliance. Champion safety on the project site. Support the Site Safety Manager, enforce safe work practices, and participate in Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and toolbox talks as needed. Identify potential project risks related to schedule, cost, safety, and client requirements. Develop and implement mitigation strategies in coordination with Barnhart leadership and the client. Prepare and present regular progress reports, cost updates, and other required project documentation to both Barnhart and client leadership.
Desired Qualifications:
Minimum 5-7 years of experience managing industrial construction projects, preferably involving complex rigging, lifting, and logistics operations. Field experience is essential ideally having started in a craft or supervisory role before transitioning into project management. Strong understanding of rigging and lifting principles, load charts, and equipment capabilities. Proven success in managing dynamic project scopes where client requirements may evolve rapidly. Proficiency in developing and maintaining project schedules and budgets. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure. Strong communication and negotiation skills for interacting with both field crews and management-level client stakeholders. OSHA 30 certification preferred; knowledge of construction safety regulations is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with project management software preferred (Primavera P6, MS Project). PMP certification is a plus but not mandatory.
Additional Details:
Based out of a regional office in Boswell, IN. This role will be located at the project site in Lebanon, IN.Standard work schedule is 10-hour days, 5 days a week with flexibility to work evening and weekends. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
