  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution OR Three years related experience in business process modeling or database design. A combination of appropriate education and experience is also acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and oral form.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

  • Experience with querying databases.
  • Excellent analytical skills

*Internal candidate identified, will also consider other candidates.The role of the Financial Analyst will be to support the Plant Controller in the execution of the day-to-day general accounting functions and coordination month end closing process, and daily/weekly monthly financial reporting. Assist in the development of financial plans and forecasts, and the analysis of operational results. Prime day-to-day responsibility will be expense processing; monitor and report inventories, standard cost revisions and the operating budget will be key responsibilities.

Job responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead role with shop floor cost system.
  • Analysis of financial and operational results.
  • Monthly tracking and reconciliation of AR issues.
  • Month-end closing and reporting, including account reconciliation and coordination of closing entries with other Howmet locations.
  • Ownership and execution of daily reporting systems.
  • Capital appropriation and Fixed Asset support.
  • Analysis of plant spending and leadership of spend management systems.
  • Data extraction and report development.
  • Financial analysis and process development for special projects, as required.
  • Provide annual and quarterly corporate tax reporting.
  • Assist controller in forecasting/ budgeting as needed.
  • Completion of Howmet Sarbanes-Oxley requirements for internal controls.
  • Support through Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Analyze Manufacturing Inventory Cost.
  • Maintain Payroll & Fringe expenses and Labor Standards.
  • Maintain & Administer Site's Fixed Assets and Capital Plan.
  • Internal and External reporting requirements.
  • Conduct research, including in-person interviews, observation, process mapping, and surveys.
  • Summarize findings and help to develop recommendations.
  • Improve upon existing business processes, if necessary.
  • Develop various tools to enhance productivity within the department; this could require creating spreadsheets or databases.
  • Prepare user documentation and carry out user training associated with application usage, and associated business processes/practices.
