Building Manager (Finance)



The Building Managers of the University Student Center oversee its efficient operation and coordinate the delivery of all services within the building and other spaces managed by our office. As key support staff, they manage all aspects of Student Center operations, prioritizing customer service. This grants them full authority to address issues within the building and to contact any Student Centers & Events administrator or manager in cases of emergency or uncertainty.Minimum Qualification: High School DiplomaThe University of South Florida is a high-impact global research university dedicated to student success.   • Coordinate and lead operations student staff of the Student Center.
  • Supervise room setups, ensuring they align with reservation requests, communicate with customers, and oversee equipment return and facility turnover post-evens.
  • Uphold USFSP's and the Student Centers & Events team's policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Execute emergency procedures when necessary.
  • Manage crises that may arise such as injuries, physical confrontations, etc.
  • Coordinate operations with the building staff to ensure outstanding facility cleanliness and event services.
  • Perform opening, closing, clear, and securing of the facility, reporting any security, maintenance, or physical plant issues.
  • Utilize the daily schedule and setup worksheets to provide excellent customer service.
  • Attend Building Manager meetings.
  • Submit shift logs detailing what happened on the shift including incidents, injuries, damaged property, or emergencies.
  • Be able to life unusual and/or heavy equipment/furnishings as required.
  • Fulfill additional duties assigned by the Operations Coordinator or other staff members.
  • Demonstrate multitasking abilities and proactive event setup.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • Conduct building rounds every hour.
